"Hydrangea Blues, Too" oil 36" x 18" SOLD
Thank to my extremely patient patrons, who saw this in progress (I won't say how long ago) and waited patiently until it was ready. If it's blue, it must be a boy!
Resolving to develop better habits in 2011:

ReplyDeleteI had never seen a hydrangea until I moved to New England. I couldn't believe the unbelievable shade of blue the flowers were, which you have captured perfectly in your painting. The format works great as well.

Wow R! Here hydrangeas are also called Christmas flowers because they are in full bloom right now. The intense blue of these is incredible and I love the way you've caught the light on them so perfectly. Gosh, but you're good!
ReplyDeleteDo you have copyright on that sign in front of your computer? I need one like that!
Hi Liz,
ReplyDeleteNope, no copyright-- so anyone who wants to print out a "PAINT FIRST" sign for yourself, go right ahead and let me know if it helps! It seems to be helping me!
- R (:
