What a coincidence.. I am doing a similar one with a lot of foam in my morning coffee and the cup being held in a hand :-)not yet finished.. I love your version of a similar thought.. I could never think of those lovely marks left on the paper.. brilliant:-)
Wow, brave! no cord! i envy your spunk! this piece is perfect, I love the birds eye view, the cup rings and the copy. Amazing job my friend! Sorry it took me so long to show up.
Hey R, thanks for your comment on my blog. Love this painting with the coffee cup and the NY Times puzzle, which I love to do. Not that good at sudoku though.
Oh! A subject after my heart: coffee and the NYT puzzle. (today's was a stinker) Love the clean faintness of the grid and that terrific red cup. The rings are a great touch. Feels like you are about to come back and work on the puzzle a bit longer.
So cool. Not surprised it sold so quickly.
ReplyDeleteNice, R... Absolutely love the composition. Also, you've inspired me to go to the local coffee shop tomorrow morning to fuel up.

ReplyDeleteI know why this sold quickly too, you get so much into such a small space...perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is really good R. I seem to remember a series of other cups of coffee ?? which I thought were incredible then!
ReplyDeleteTruly awesome. It's so tough to regulate type in a painting, and not have it take over. You're amazing.
ReplyDeleteNice, looks like my breakfast table.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Congrats on the sale.
