Painting: "Blue on Blue: Morpho/Morning Glory" oil 30" x 15", R. Garriott"Consider every path carefully testing it in whichever way you feel necessary, then ask yourself, but only yourself, one question: 'Does this path have a heart?' The path that has heart will uplift you, ease your burden and bring you joy. The path with no heart will make you stumble, it will break your spirit, and finally cause you to look upon your life with anger and bitterness."

Good to see you back. I was wondering and I'm relieved to see you posting.
ReplyDeleteLovely painting you've posted today.
I had hoped to see some of your work in person at the Leadville Gallery this past weekend. My husband was riding in the Triple By Pass Road Bike Event and I thought I might have a chance to get over there. Unfortunately that didn't work out, but I do plan on heading to Leadville one of these days.
Stay well.
Beautiful painting, and inspiring quote...

Blue on blue, but no heartache!! (I suppose my reference to the Bobby Vinton song dates me, but I couldn't resist!) Fabulous painting, R.

ReplyDeletePerfect quote and painting, R. Have missed you, friend, but have been MIA myself.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of Georgia O'Keefe. 'Nuf said.
ReplyDeleteHola 'miga
ReplyDeleteHad been wondering. Was actually just starting to worry, a little.
Aware of course of how busy you are. Personally very familiar with a busy/performance driven lifestyle. Had decided it was a problem with my cache (which is acting strangely on at least one other site I frequent) and was only going to inquire if this last hit yielded no new post(s).
Have a feeling the CC quote is . . . indicative. Don't want to think about how it applies to me and so I won't . . . much.
Miss your beautiful face. May I come visit on my next break, May-ish '10?
besosyabrazos, Joel-cito
This is SOOO beautiful. What blues did you use?
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering where you were.
Great to see you again and Love the quote. Like Liz, been MIA too...resting and enjoying family.

So glad to see you back and with such a gorgeous painting.
ReplyDeletevery good to have you back. Was a little worried about you. Sounds like a parent with their children doesn't it. Just can't hide out for anything.
ReplyDeleteReally is a nice painting but can we expect any less?
Good to see a new piece from you and such a lovely range of blues.
ReplyDeleteReading the Casteneda ... I hope you are not having an 'art crisis' at the moment. I had a pretty bad one last month but I think I'm out of it now ;-)
Your blog is one of the best and most informative out there so I hope you are going to keep up the good work for us selfish readers :-)
Hello stranger :>) I come visit, I am rewarded! Thank you for the breath of fresh air! ~T
